3 Steps to Curating Kick-Ass Content for Business on Twitter
Hey! Thanks for stopping in today and reading what we have to offer. Today’s blog is focused on business owners looking to find kick-ass content for business on Twitter. By reading on you will learn not only what it takes to find great information, you’ll also get a glimpse at how Boxless Media operates around here. This post is really a win-win situation since you get to learn, and I get to write. So let’s move on, apply the lesson, and get it over with shall we?
Find Relevant Content With the Right Tools
On a daily basis the awesome social media strategists at Boxless Media work relentlessly to find all sorts of amazing and relevant content for our clients. From the latest IT Security news to Printing hacks and tricks, we find ourselves searching interesting content across various industries. By searching – I mean we no longer ask Google to get the answers. No, those days are far past us and we’re obviously better than that. Instead we utilize our precious time on Feed.ly and Topsy.
Both of these tools serve a crucial role in our workplace as they allow us to search relevant content by categories, topics, photos, influencers and even hash tags! While they resemble other search engines just slightly, these tools cut the workload in half by giving us exactly what we’re looking for 99% of the time (Take that, Google). If you’re struggling to find content for business on Twitter, there’s probably two reasons why. One – you’re not searching the right words and two – you’re not using Feed.ly or Topsy yet. So what are you waiting on?
Get Visual With Your Content
When we’re done finding the kick-ass content we want to use, we schedule everything on either Hootsuite or TweetDeck. Now don’t panic, there’s a reason we use both platforms and there’s an even better reason we prefer Tweetdeck. To start, Hootsuite has its own features that separate it from Tweetdeck which makes it a valuable tool. And while I personally like Hootsuite, we prefer to use Tweetdeck due to their visual content system. No seriously, in addition to the link and copy for your kick-ass content, Tweetdeck lets you add an image to make the tweet all the more awesome. Don’t believe me? Check it out on Boxless Media’s Twitter, and while you’re at it – give us a follow, yeah? Thanks.
Co-Brand Content for Business on Twitter
Assuming you checked out our Twitter and just came back, let’s wrap up so you can go about your day and start raising awareness with your brand. When we find information we want to share with others, it gives the original writers of content exposure while teaching our audience something new. However, we’re big believers in win-win situations as I mentioned earlier which is why Snip.ly does us a solid in helping us expose our own brand to a larger audience. Before scheduling a post though, use Snip.ly to shorten your link and add your own message. This gives you an opportunity to drive traffic back to your own website, collect emails for lead generation, or form a field. There’s so much more you can do with Snip.ly that you will probably want to check out our post about it.
Now that you know a bit about our own Twitter strategy, why not share your own tricks, tips, and tactics with us in the comments below or on Twitter! It was fun teaching you something new, we hope to hear from you soon.
