Let Your Facebook Page Deny the Box!
Browse through the pages of Facebook and you will find hundreds of thousands of Facebook pages that look exactly alike. If you want to be noticed, you have to step outside the box, or better yet, deny the box. Ignore what you know about Facebook and what pages look like, and think about your goals and visions. Then create.
This is a lot easier said than done. The best way to do this is with expertise in several different areas including HTML programming, graphic design, etc. If these skills aren’t in your skill set, then the more costly but most effective strategy would be to hire a company like ours (www.BoxlessMedia.com) to create that experience for you. The last option would be to use one of many tools out there to do customize your Facebook page. Below are just a few of them with short descriptions.
- Woobox – Woobox offers both free and paid services – a model commonly referred to as freemium. It allows you to integrate custom tabs, polls, deals, fan/friend gates, PInterest, YouTube and even Instagram into your page. Their user interface is clean and easy to navigate. Woobox also integrates analytics into its interface.
- Tabsite – TabSite is another great online customization application that allows you to create custom welcome pages, tabs and other content. You don’t need any coding experience and its content editor makes it easy to add images, content, coupons, links and more. A very cool feature of TabSite is the ability to integrate Google Analytics into your Facebook presence.
- ShortStack – ShortStack offers a variety of templates. You can easily create new tabs. It allows you to implement an unlimited amount of tabs and offer voting capability, video, contests, and several different widgets. You can easily add contact forms, and other social integration. Among all of these features and robust analytics, ShortStack also allows you to integrate ecommerce into Facebook. It’s pretty amazing. ShortStack is very highly recommended.
- PageModo – I have the most experience with PageModo. It has a great interface and very cool analytics and tab creation capabilities. Actually its is very easy add most anything you can imagine to your Facebook page. My only issue is that it is pretty expensive.
These are four great tools for customizing and building out your Facebook presence. There are many more out there. I encourage you to experiment with them and build something amazing. Deny the Box!
